How marly.studio turns a long video into reviewed vertical clips or a Tightened cut: upload a file, AI analysis with reasons, review, then MP4 download for YouTube Studio (free exports carry a watermark). 1. Add your video
Upload a file you have the right to process. That is the most reliable way to start, whether you want clipped keepers or a Tightened cut (Beta). You can also paste a supported public URL into Find clips — Tighten stays file-only; URL import is best-effort because providers can block, geo-restrict, or remove sources. YouTube audiovisual import is disabled while prior written Google approval is pending. Start a file upload. Guest jobs share a weekly cap per network; when it is exhausted, Home shows Uploads, Find clips, and Tighten disabled — sign in or try again later from a different connection.
2. marly.studio watches the whole video
Find-clips jobs move through the visible stage rail on the job page: Upload, Transcribing, Analyzing, Extracting, then Done — with finer states like Validating media, Queued, and Checking moments along the way. Tighten (Beta) jobs run the same Upload and Transcribing stages, then Editing and Rendering, to Done. Speech is transcribed with timing information so clip boundaries and captions stay tied to the recording. Analysis checks the full recording, not a highlight reel, so a strong late moment can still make the cut. While it reads, Find-clips jobs play a posterized preview of the footage — how the analysis tape works. Find-clips jobs attach a plain-language reason to every reviewed moment; Tighten jobs return the tightened cut with the edit plan it was made from.
3. Review the result
A Find-clips job page shows progress, titles, transcripts, playback, plain-language reasons, and downloads — you decide what is worth keeping. A Tighten (Beta) job returns one tightened cut to review on its job page instead of a clip list. Nothing is published without you.
4. Download and post
Clips download as vertical 9:16 MP4s with captions burned in, and a clips job can also return an extended, source-aspect, download-only clip. Tighten (Beta) returns the whole video as one tightened MP4 at the source aspect — download-only, and free exports carry a watermark. For clips you keep, each new upload set starts on the Gaming category default with visibility locked to Private; you can change the category before uploading. Direct YouTube upload is available to signed-in creators; Public or Unlisted visibility stays gated until Google restores this app's YouTube API upload-audit status. Or download the MP4 and upload it manually in YouTube Studio.

Google sign-in unlocks the full Free plan — 40 jobs a week, 5 at a time. Plus, Pro, and Studio plans raise the weekly quota and remove the watermark. Hours reset every week, and you can cancel anytime. Exact current quotas for your workspace live in Settings.

You can try marly.studio without an account. Signing in with Google saves your workspace across devices. Workspace data is isolated by session or account, and signed media links are short-lived. Details are on the legal page.

What do I need to start?

Yes, for signed-in creators. After you review a clip, connect YouTube in Settings, change the Gaming category if needed, accept both upload certifications, then Upload to YouTube. Direct YouTube upload is available to signed-in creators; Public or Unlisted visibility stays gated until Google restores this app's YouTube API upload-audit status. Guests download MP4s instead; anyone can upload those files manually in YouTube Studio.
